Take Off the Flannel Pants and No One Gets Hurt
December 4th, 2010 by The Barefoot Blogger: Laura Kleinbaum
At home we have the luxury of wearing slippers. We also have the luxury of lounging around in nothing but a down comforter with a carton of Chunky Monkey in hand and Friday Night Lights streaming on our laptop. The lesson here is that we don’t have the privilege of being quite as comfortable outside the house as we do inside. That’s especially a bummer on the terribly cold days that lie ahead. We all know the fear of getting out of bed in the morning because it’s so much warmer under the blanket and the dread of the first ice cold gust of wind that will inevitably hit your face the second you step outside. Such is life though, and there’s not much we can do. There is one thing– sweater boots. Sweat pants, pajamas, your dad’s ratty fleece: none of these are acceptable out-of-the-house garments. Sweater boots will do you right. They’re cute, trendy, and completely acceptable to wear with your skinny jeans and jeggings and cords and they’ll keep you feeling like you’re wearing slippers. They practically guarantee a good day.
