Big Money, Big Money

Drumroll please…. Barefoot Tess customers have spoken, and the most popular shoe of the weekend sale was the  BLOWFISH SOCKS!  We can’t blame you – a cute shoe at an unbeatable price is hard to turn down. Congratulations to the winners of our guessing game contest — Tiffany Claiborne, Daisy, and C Schreiber!  I just want to reiterate how much it means to me to hear from all of you, whether it be comments, suggestions, contest entries, surveys, you name it.  Being part of the Barefoot Tess community is such a joy, and I love being in touch with everyone.

BFT customers, see if lady luck is on your side this weekend. Guess the best-selling shoe of our weekend blowout sale (reminder: 20% off the ENTIRE SITE with code ECO20!!) and receive a gift certificate for the exact amount of that shoe. For instance, if you put your ticket on the All Black stud boot as the weeekend’s hot item, you will win a $300 dollar gift voucher if that is our best selling item during the sale.  Or, say, you think the new Australia Love boots are irresistable – you could get over 300 dollars to spend on the shoe of your choice! Just email us your selection at tess@BarefootTess.com or post on the blog. Roll the dice!

Odds and Ends

Another celeb sighting in Barefoot Tess shoes — Miss Ashley Tisdale, of High School Muscial fame, was recently seen getting her coffee fix in our Blowfish Sioux moccasins. I love these shoes! I wore them to brunch on Sunday (unfortunately, I couldn’t find any paparazzi shots of me to show you how cute they looked! :-) ), and received many compliments.

Thanks to everyone who participated in our Election Day Stimulus Sale! I am very pleased to announce Shannan Humes as the winner of 15% off everything on the site.  If it were me, I’ve been eyeing the new Dolce Vita Kent bootie (old world leather meets futuristic straps and buckles), but to each her own….

Check us out!  Barefoot Tess has been in the news lately.

1. Glamour posted a link about us in their style blog, and they want to hear from women with larger feet. We would be sooo appreciative if our customers let them know that there is indeed a market for large size shoes and how you feel about Barefoot Tess. Here is the link: http://www.glamour.com/fashion/blogs/slaves-to-fashion/2008/10/lets-get-to-know-each-otherwha.html (it takes one second to register! thanks!!)

2. Entrepreneur magazine did a great spread on us in their new issue.  Here’s the photo:entrepreneur-mag1

These are a few of my favorite things…

November 2nd, 2008 by barefoottess

Sometimes I wonder how one procrastinated in the age before the internet. For me, the world wide web is the perfect medium – i have 5 or 6 (or 7) favorite sites that are my go-to for a quick mental break. Celebrity gossip? check. Latest fashion? check. Facebook? check (speaking of – become a friend of Barefoot Tess on Facebook!) Those are the heavy hitters, but then I have a few more obscure sites on which I also like to fritter the time away. For the scoop on upcoming clothing and accessories designers, I love Not Couture. Recently I signed up for GOOP, Gwyneth Paltrow’s new site and newsletter that “nourishes the inner aspect.” For recipes and meal ideas, I can’t beat Epicurious. For home furnishing ideas, I love to scroll through my friend Liz’s blog, High and Low Designs. One thing I’m always in the market for, however, are tall-friendly sites – whether about clothing, activites, or simply commiserations on the joys and difficulties of being tall. I know other customers feel similarly, and so I’m enlisting all of you to send me your favorite tall-related sites. As motivation, anyone who sends in a name will be entered in a drawing for a $150 shopping spree that will be held on December 15th (just in time to spend it on some of our amazing new holiday shoes – check out Betta Carrano!) In the name of procrastination, help a girl out!
